I truly like the Whistle interface and particularly like the dual lines and 3 way calling support and I would prefer to use the Whistle app to make all my calls... In that end, may I suggest adding the ability to choose either route the call thru the SIP servers or the native phone like Fring does...

Thanks for the suggestion! We've previously been looking at compatibility issues with things like Fring and Nimbuzz, so this might be a useful idea. We appreciate the feedback!

FWIW: I moved on to using Acrobits (Groundwire) softphone client which allows me to not only make calls thru multiple sip accounts (including Whistle) as well as Google Voice but also the option to route the call thru the native iPhone phone app as I suggested...

Aside from that, Whistle has it's place and I use it almost daily - tho, some sort of warning beep prior to disconnecting the call after the newly imposed 20 minute limit would be nice... ;0)

BTW: I am a paying customer but choose to use my "credits" towards the Follow Me service as opposed to the length of call charge...

Not to hijack my own thread but...

Since I'm enrolled in the Follow Me service and have "credits" on the books - should I also be entitled to ad free outbound calling?

Thanks for the update. Please be aware that we can only offer limited support if Whistle is used in conjunction with third party services, since we can't account for how they might interact, but I'm glad if it's working out for you. : )

Ad-free calling is a separate feature from Follow Me, so you would have to enable that separately if it's something you want. You can do so via Account Management.
