I am transforming my iPod Touch into the iPhone
without paying a cent. I can already text with TextFree, and
Whistle Phone has awesome call clarity! All I want is Voicemail for
free and that would be awesome.

hmsbullstag:support.whistlephone.com,2010-02-09:Comment/36764422010-11-08T18:47:44Z2010-11-08T18:47:44ZVoicemail & Videos

Sam and Steven,

Thanks for the suggestions! We've had a lot of requests for voicemail, so I wouldn't rule out it being included in a future update.

Whistle Catherinetag:support.whistlephone.com,2010-02-09:Comment/36764422010-11-09T04:03:04Z2010-11-09T04:03:04ZVoicemail & Videos

What about the FaceTime? Like if you have an iPhone 4 and are depending on Wi-Fi you won't have an option for FaceTime since it has to go through like a call. If whistle did this then you could use it on an Unserviced iPhone 4

Sam Aultag:support.whistlephone.com,2010-02-09:Comment/36764422010-11-09T21:25:36Z2010-11-09T21:25:36ZVoicemail & Videos

Sam,

The problem with FaceTime is the same old, same old: third party programs, etcetera, etcetera. We really can only do so much, based on the limits of the tech and what we have at hand. Think of it as each of us building a separate room in a house, and nobody knows what anybody else is building or how much space they'll need; we can never guarantee that it'll all fit together. But I can tell you that this room is going to be a doozy. :)

Whistle Catherinetag:support.whistlephone.com,2010-02-09:Comment/36764422010-11-16T08:00:45Z2010-11-16T08:00:46ZVoicemail & Videos

YES! i Came searching for the whistle site JUST to throw out the suggestion of voicemail. Now that whistle has open up to more area codes (and I was able to get my city's area code, I am just about convinced to use my whistle numbee for business. The only thing I was missing is voicemail.

I hope it comes. I do think it should have a fee to have it. (just to support the developers). Maybe like a yearly fee? $40 bucks for a year? heck i'd pay that. lol.

I somehow doubt we'd charge that much! :D But yes, we're definitely hearing a real demand for it, so we might start planning for it in future.

Whistle Catherine
