Cannot connect bluetooth headset in Whistle 1.11
I have a Jawbone ICON paired with my iPad. I have Whistle 1.11 instead (my understanding is that this version is supposed to have support for bluetooth headsets). Sound from any other app plays through my headset. But when I launch Whistle and place a call, the sound comes through the iPad speaker as it did before. Am I missing something? Is there a setting I need to change? Please help. Thanks.

The iPad, or rather Apple does not include the Bluetooth protocol for microphones. More than likely it is an agreement they have with AT&T.
I've heard many are waiting for version 4 to come out in late June, but I have my doubts that the protocol will be included.

Hi again,
I did some research and found the iPad does not support HFP 1.5 (Hands Free Profile) or the PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile) Bluetooth device protocols. So, in support of what I've heard, the iPad does not "appear" to have the necessary Bluetooth Protocols for the use of a Bluetooth microphone.
Now something else to consider ... if you were told this device should work with your iPad... and that involves Bluetooth pairing. Was your headset "paired" with another device before? If so, try shutting that original device off and then try it with the iPad again. I had a similar problem with my Apple wireless keyboard and trying to use it with two different Mac's. As long as both Mac's were on, I could only use the keyboard on only one of them.

Thanks for answering lholyoke.
We have removed bluetooth support from the iPad for right now. Sorry about any inconvenience
