I hear an intermittent dial tone and can't hear the voice of the person I've called
I just set-up my whistle account on my PC. When I open my whistle phone and select a line, I hear a scratchy, intermittent dial tone. I then call out, but don't hear the ring in my headset. The person to whom I call can hear my voice just fine. Occasionally, I hear a scratchy reply, but most often I don't hear anything. I'M use Windows XP, and have checked my microphone and speakers; both work fine. Any suggestions?

Phil,
Do you have your speakers setup to receive the output audio from Whistle ?

Yes the Whistle audio comes the laptop speakers. But the dial tone and voice from the voice of the person to whom I've called to very distorted, like morse code mixed with a reverberation machine.
Here is the "Whistle Console" if it helps.
Thanks, PHIL

Phil,
It sounds like Whistle is having issues with the sound card on your PC.
Can you provide as much information as possible on your installed sound card. At a minimum we would need make and model.
