does not work with vista

i just installed on vista. but when I run, it pop up an error window:
api-ms-win-core-localregistry-l1-1-0.dll not found

    Thanks for letting us know. Unfortunately, this appears to be a problem with your system; the issue is that you're missing a DLL (dynamic-link library), and there isn't anything we can do from our end. Have you recently had problems with any other downloads?

    do not have other problems with downloads. so those dll are built in vista? if so, where are they located? can i just download the dll and put it there?

    It depends on the situation. However, at one point a previous user reported a similar error, it turned out they were trying to use an invalid link. He wrote:

    "I figured it out. I was trying to open program from the exe in the program folder because I couldn't find the shortcut in my start menu. Now it works."

    In what manner are you trying to open the program?

    aha, same here. i could not find the shortcut, so went into inside folder and clicked .exe
    what should i do then?

    Have you tried just searching for it with a standard search program? It may just be hiding in a subfolder.
