What ports need to be open for Whistle to work?

I can't seem to get Whistle working on my home network, but my neighbors' works fine. I called my ISP, and they said they don't block VOIP (they're sonic.net); they wanted to know what ports needed to be open and I couldn't find that answer anywhere. I'd love to use Whistle as much as possible!

I'm not even 100% sure I understand enough about ports to know if this is a good question or not, btw. Be kind please, and talk to me like I'm a child!

Mark: what platform are you using - iPhone/iPod/iPad/Mac/Windows? If it's a desktop operating system such as Windows or OS X, the problem may be with firewall settings on the host itself. In some cases, this blocking may be caused by anti-virus software rather than the OS firewall.

Once we know the platform, we can try to take it from there.

Actually I'm using all three--iphone, ipad, mac os x. (IMHO, Windows isn't a platform so much as an itchy rash.) Turns out was a NAT conflict between devices on network here. Brand new router plus Time Capsule = mayhem. Works GREAT!

I appreciate you letting us know the outcome. Nothing like a brand new router to challenge the brain cells.
