just joined whistle the other and love it. But. ...
on my iMac it works fine. yesterday i could make calls on my iPad. Today, no.
At home on wifi I can make calls on Imac, but not on ipad. I get a dial tone then nothing.
Does the app have to be shut down on the desk top to work on the ipad app? It wasn't yesterday.

This sounds odd. You should always be able to make calls with both devices at the same time.

If you close Whistle on the iMac, does it work on the iPad when using it on your home network ?

    thanks for replying.

yes, once I closed the app on my desktop, the ipad app worked. same wifi network.
when the desktop app was open, the ipad app would give me a dial tone, but the curser just blinked after the phone number displayed and nothing would happen. Until I closed the iMac desktop app.
Any thoughts how to fix this?

These two devices should be able to both be open and be able to make calls at the same time. Do you know if you home network has restrictions on VoIP traffic (like maybe on VoIP device logged in at once ?)
