Use of Bluetooth stereo headphones requires iPhone OS 3.0 and an
iPod touch (2nd generation), iPod touch (3rd generation), iPhone
3G, or iPhone 3GS. Not all Bluetooth stereo headphones include a
mic. Only those with a mic and that support headset profiles or
handsfree Bluetooth profiles can be used to make and receive
calls.

Hope this helps.

Beth McGinnistag:support.whistlephone.com,2010-02-09:Comment/17954522010-06-02T20:34:21Z2010-06-02T20:34:23ZBluetooth on Ipod Touch

Beth

I've been tracking this for a long time. The iphone and ipod
touch both support the bluetooth stereo profile (good for music),
but only the iphone supports the bluetooth headset profile that
includes bluetooth microphone support.

When I saw the blurb in the rcent Whistle App update that said
it supported bluetooth headset on ipod touch, I wondered if they
had found a way to work around the limitation in the OS, which is
why I posted. Now I think that the Whistle update blurb was just
wrong.

km
